Pregnancy & The Schoolchild


 

The first of two specially adapted courses, for Swedish Osteopaths. This first course focuses on the Osteopathic treatment of pregnant mothers and school aged children. Students with all levels of experience will benefit from this course.

THE PREGNANT MOTHER AND SCHOOL CHILDREN - THE ROLE OF OSTEOPATHY

 

Day One - The Pregnant Mother:



Day One

  • Treatment of abdominal pain in pregnancy
  • Turning a breach baby and other malposition of the Foetus
  • Osteopathic management of symphysis pubic pain
  • Treatment of acid reflux
  • The preparation for birth

Days Two & Three - The School Child:



Day Two

  • The growth and development and the effect of the viscera
  • The Gut and its treatment
  • Ear, Nose and Throat problems in young children
  • The treatment of the visual field in school children 
Day Three

  • The pathology of the hip – congenital dysplasia, vascular necrosis, slipped capital epiphysis.
  • Chronic juvenile arthritis Scoliosis: its understanding and treatment
  • Sports injuries
